Expand Your Areas of Expertise
Lincoln Law School of San Jose is distinguished in its offering of Intellectual Property (IP) coursework and practical focus. The school’s IP Clinic is one of only a limited number of patent and trademark clinics nationwide and is a first in many regards. It is the first patent clinic in Northern California and Silicon Valley, the first trademark clinic in Silicon Valley (the second in Northern California), and the first (and only) non-ABA school to ever be admitted into the USPTO clinic program.
Students are prepared for the IP Clinic through a process mirroring the training of USPTO Patent Examiners. Through the IP Clinic, students have the opportunity of interacting directly with the USPTO and are mentored on a 1:1 basis.
Additionally, professors for the IP Clinic and for the school’s IP curriculum are active experts in their field, infusing their courses with practical experience and interpretations of current trends and developments.
